DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented IT Technical Analyst to join our team specialising in Systems/Information Technology for Cummins Drivetrain & Braking Systems Business Unit in Cwmbran, Gwent, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide hands-on and remote IT support for desktop user devices, IT infrastructure, and manufacturing systems at the Meritor-Cummins UK site in Cwmbran, with occasional visits to Redditch.

  • Manage and resolve IT service requests and incidents efficiently, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation in the Incident Management system.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, utilizing department standards and best practices to meet customer expectations.

  • Maintain and manage service assets and configuration items, ensuring accurate records to support service management processes.

  • Interface with customers, prioritize IT support based on site importance and business criticality, and guide users to the correct tools and processes for IT requests.

  • Ensure all IT work follows proper procedures, including service desk tickets, project tasks, and Change Management processes.

  • Support and contribute to the identification and design of business and IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Lead small IT projects or initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong technical knowledge across IT service lines, with in-depth expertise in one or more areas such as Desktop Support, Manufacturing IT, Networking, or Application Hosting.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency, continuous improvement, and adherence to Cummins standards.

  • Ability to work independently, following step-by-step instructions to execute deliverables while managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams and engage with stakeholders across the business.

  • Quick learner with the ability to analyze and understand both business and technical processes, ensuring effective IT support and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
