DESCRIPTION

We are looking for enthusiastic engineering candidates to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Turbocharger business in Huddersfield, UK. During your apprenticeship with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

Summary of the course:

The Engineering degree apprentice roles are developmental positions within our Engineering teams. The apprenticeship is composed of block release at the University of Sheffield (AMRC) and periods of working at our site at Huddersfield. When you will work 4 days per week, as well as 1 day per week studying at the University. The working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm (30-minute lunchbreak). On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a BEng Mechanical Manufacture or BEng Manufacturing Technology.

This role is 100% onsite at Huddersfield and at university in Sheffield. Successful candidates would be expected to commute and live sufficiently close to both locations or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supporting new product introduction and ensuring completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner.

  • Appling analytical thinking to troubleshoot problems effectively with addressing and resolving technical issues as they arise.

  • Use advanced analysis techniques to assess product performance.

  • Utilize simulations to predict and enhance product functionality.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other teams to ensure alignment and address cross-functional issues, also Provide regular updates on status and progress to the team.

  • Adapt to the evolving demands, requirements of the project and engaging in various technical tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong interest in engineering.

  • T Levels - 144 UCAS points with an overall Distinction grade

  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering 120 credits and overall Distinction grade

  • Level 3 Cambridge National Certificate in Engineering overall Distinction grade

  • 2 x A Levels both grade B minimum – Maths, any science based subject, Product Design, Computing

  • Level 4 HNC in Engineering (Pass)
